Even if you hit the sweet spot, moderate drinking is a two-edged sword with some beneficial effects and some negative ones. Precautions Against Drinking Alcohol While Taking Blood Thinners You should abstain from alcohol while taking anticoagulant blood thinners such as Coumadin (warfarin) as the blood-thinning effects of alcohol can interact with those of the prescribed drugs.?? It will be more difficult for your healthcare providers to determine the correct dosage for the prescribed blood thinner if you also drink alcohol. As you will be placed on blood thinners to prevent a significant health threat, such as a deep venous thrombosis, its best not to take the risk and have an alcoholic beverage. Also, consider the other prescriptions that you take. Sometimes they interact with blood thinners and alcohol. Follow the precautions and refrain from drinking if that is recommended. Dont Substitute Alcohol for Prescription Blood Thinners Likewise, if you need anticoagulation to reduce health risk, it is unwise to think that drinking alcohol is a substitute for prescribed blood thinners. When your doctor prescribes an anticoagulant such as Coumadin, you will also have your blood tested regularly to ensure you are getting just the right amount of blood thinning.?? Historiography is a complex topic, with often no answers to the questions is raises. (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014) This paper will be analyzing a few thoughts to be considered when writing history. There are two approaches to consider when writing history, presentism and historicism. Presentism is the format that takes a look at the psychological past and relating it to psychology today to show how it became that way. Historicism is the study of the past without relating it to the present in any way. Our text book takes on the approach of presentism because it can be difficult to present history without any regard to present day knowledge. (Hergenhahn Henley, 2014) Another way to look at presentism as a strong approach would be to think about our universities. The first university was created by the Greeks and has continued to developed as a strong education platform. However, they doubted different things. Descartes doubted all his previous knowledge from his senses, while Montaigne doubted that there were any absolute certainties in knowledge. Although they both began their philosophical processes by doubting, Montaigne doubting a constant static self, and Descartes doubted that anything existed at all, Descartes was able to move past that doubt to find one indubitably certainty, I think, therefore I am. He said that since he had the idea of a perfect being, then that perfect being must exist. Morgan D. Nagatani conducted the same type of experiment in 2002. She thought that the walnut would have the most energy and it did. She stuck the needle into the nut and burned it with a lighter, but she used a small bucket instead of a juice can. The walnut did show the highest BTU, with cashew in second (I did not test the cashew), and the almond in 3rd. These results caused me to be more interested in for walnut . It had the highest in my experiment. This also helped me explain BTU, British Thermal Units, and it did affect my experiment. There are some things were noticed in the experiment that I learned. The walnut had the most energy out of many different nuts. Also people wanted to know what Joules were and I found that they are also another measurement of energy and heat. Something that I noticed was that when I was testing the bottom of the can would turn black, so I needed to know if the soot on the bottom would effect the heat that it gave off, and it did so I had to clean the can after every trial. Many people expected the walnut because of its mass, and it was because it was grown inorganic plus very large so it can burn longer. In the past experiment the walnut also won the prize for nut with most energy. It relates to my experiment because it tells me which nut to expect to win. Information Graphic Memo Essay The current map that M Street Apartments provides underlies the most basic information about the community whereas this map entails several unique details that residents wouldnt know about unless they were informed about them. The main focus of this enhanced map draws to the cautionary details. These are details that residents wouldnt be aware of Just by entering and exiting the neighborhood. Layout The map is displayed landscape, with the top part of the neighborhood facing west. I made sure to add extra detail and description to the areas that are more than Just visual. For example, anyone can see there are several entrances to the neighborhood, but I added extra description because each entrance is unique (pedestrian entrance, quest and residents only entrances) and one wouldnt be able to decipher that without the information graphic. Unlike the case with distantly related bone-headed dinosaurs like Pachycephalosaurus, however, this crest probably evolved less to establish dominance in the herd, or the right to mate with females by head-butting other male dinosaurs, but rather for display and communication purposes. Corythosaurus wasnt native to Greece, but to the plains and woodlands of late Cretaceous North America, about 75 million years ago. In a spectacular bit of applied paleontology, researchers have created three-dimensional models of Corythosaurus hollow head crest and discovered that these structures create booming sounds when funneled with blasts of air. Its clear that this large, gentle dinosaur used its crest to signal (extremely loudly) to others of its kindthough we may never know whether these sounds were meant to broadcast sexual availability, keep the herd in check during migrations, or warn about the presence of hungry predators like Gorgosaurus. Most likely, communication was also the function of the even more ornate head crests of related hadrosaurs like Parasaurolophus and Charonosaurus. The type fossils of many dinosaurs (most notably the north African meat-eater Spinosaurus) were destroyed during World War II by Allied bombing raids on Germany; Corythosaurus is unique in that two of its fossils went belly-up during World War I. In 1916, an England-bound ship carrying various fossil remains excavated from Canadas Dinosaur Provincial Park was sunk by a German raider; to date, no one has attempted to salvage the wreckage.
